Using a Palette Knife- City Scapes
Year 6 enjoyed trying out a new art skill: using a palette knife with oil paintings. We enjoyed using the palette knife to create different patterns using a layering technique. We then use this skill to develop a background!
Romeo and Juliet
We have really enjoyed learning about the Shakespearean play, Romeo and Juliet. In this session, we were given an act as a group and were asked to act it out, considering facial expressions, our voices and where we positioned our self. We had some very dramatic re-enactments, well done!
Science Week- The Galapagos Finches
This year in Science week, we were asked to consider innovation for the future. We explored the famous scientist: Charles Darwin. We then conducted our own mini investigation to explore how beaks were adapted to certain finches on the Galapagos islands!
