Each day a range of healthy food options will be on offer and selections can be made on the day.
In addition to offering a nutritious and satisfying breakfast to start the day off right, we provide children with a diverse array of engaging and enjoyable activities. Our program includes dynamic sporting sessions led by a qualified sports coach, designed to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and confidence. Beyond sports, children can explore a wide variety of creative and stimulating options, including board games that encourage problem-solving and social interaction, arts and crafts to spark imagination and self-expression, and many other fun activities tailored to different interests and age groups. Our goal is to create a welcoming and enriching environment where every child can start their day energized, happy, and inspired.
Wraparound at
Blackfell Primary School
We are excited to introduce our new extended wraparound care offer, available from November 5th 2025.
It has been designed to provide flexible, high-quality before- and after-school provision for our families. We have implemented this to support parents with busy schedules, ensure children have a safe and nurturing environment beyond the school day, and help strengthen the link between home and school through enriching activities.
In conjunction with this, we have been able to further extend our after-school club offer. See the clubs on offer in the document below. All clubs cost £2.50 per session and are payable through the Sunderland Council website, link below.
Our after school Kids' Club will operate from 3.15pm to 5.30pm Monday to Friday at a cost of £7 per day, payable via the Sunderland Council website, link below.

Payment for Kids' Club will include access to any of our exciting after school club activities and a healthy snack. Once after school clubs have ended at 4.15pm, children will access our cosy, inviting, nurturing wraparound room and be able to access free play, including a range of games, electronic devices, reading books, arts and crafts activities and homework support. There will also be some structured activities the children can take part in should they wish to.
Booking must be made in advance by paying via the Sunderland Council Website, and letting school know which club and days you would like your child to attend.
Our wraparound services are constantly evolving, and we warmly welcome feedback from parents, carers, and children on how we can continue to improve and better meet your needs.
