In Science, Year 6 have been learning about Evolution and Inheritance. Over the last couple of weeks we have been learning about Evolution by Natural Selection. We read the book Moth and learned how being better adapted to a habitat can mean that living things survive long enough to reproduce and pass on their adaptive traits meaning that over time other species may die out. This is Survival of the Fittest. We also learned about Charles Darwin and how his voyage to the Galapagos and his study of finches help him to come up with this theory.
