Early Years took part in Safer Internet Day yesterday and will be carrying on some activities where we will learn more about how to stay safe online. We shared the book, "Chicken Clicking" and found out about different ways we and our grown ups might use the internet. We spoke about how we must be careful about using our devices and shared which ones we use at home and what we use them for. Some of us recorded what we use the internet for in our Literacy books. We then accessed the CEOP website: 4-5s Homepage | CEOP Education where we found out about Jessie who had been watching videos on her device. We discussed what to do if we get a funny feeling in our tummy and began to learn the song from the CEOP website, adding actions in too. We spoke about which grown ups we can talk to if we don't feel safe online. Over the next few days, we will be learning more about devices and feelings we can have when online, some of us have already begun to make models of devices like laptops and mobile phones.
